Veritas uses passive RFID technology to provide hidden asset borne evidence of ownership and details of the lease or hire contract of each individual asset. Depending on client requirements RFID chips are read only or programmable with owner and asset details as required case by case.

Veritas supplies and fits (hidden) RFID chips to evidence ownership of the asset and verification of the asset details against the Veritas Asset Registration Database independent to any asset borne serial numbers or vehicle documentation that can easily be altered.

Passive RFID Chips
The Veritas passive RFID solution is based upon a secure RFID chip with up to 1024 bytes of data. The data volume is sufficient to embed comprehensive ownership and lease details to evidence ownership of any leased asset.

RFID Chip Installation

The passive RFID chips are environmentally hardened and up to two separate chips containing identical information are installed covertly in the leased asset. Installation is ideally effected at the time of asset manufacture. The chip may also be retro-fitted where necessary.

Reading the RFID Chip

The data contained in the passive RFID chip is readable using any "off the shelf" passive chip reader. Copies of the data embedded on the chip are duplicated in the Veritas Leased Asset Register and can be made available to authorities for verification of asset ownership.

Passive RFID Chip Features:
  • Up to 1024 Bytes of Data (1Mb)
  • Rewriteable or Write Once versions available
  • Environmentally hardened
  • Covert installation
